Information about Natural Fluorite Rings
Fluorite rings, commonly referred to as fluor spar is actually a colorful stones from of Calcium Fluoride. The soft & transparent look of the fluorite stones makes them popular lapidary material for use in vases, dishes, spheres, ornamental objects & carvings etc. The hardness of fluorite is usually found to be only 4 on mohs' scale, which indicates that it is very delicate in nature & can easily get damaged with slight pressure. That’s why fluorite has very limited use as stones in rings as it is not always possible to maintain an unblemished polish with normal jewelry use.
Apart from purple, fluorite also comes in a variety of ethereal colors including pink, blue, green & yellow. The rainbow fluorites in particular attract buyers as they come banded beautifully in green, purple & while in a single stone. Due to the wide scale availability of fluorite in places like China, Poland, Hungary, USA, Canada, Thailand, Peru, South Africa, Mexico, Poland, Norway, England & Germany, it has become affordable for every economic group. Thus consumers can now select fluorite stones from a huge range of shades & enjoy making lovely ornament out of them.
