However the intensity & impact of these color flashes are less than that of precious opals. Shape: The shape of this basically depends up the cabochon cut (dome shape) & is therefore oval. Mostly it is cut along with the help of mother rock & minerals that help to maintain its durability throughout. Varieties: It is well known for its characteristic green color but may be found in some other shades like dark green, blue etc. Carat: It is available in different sizes. Though boulder stones & big sizes are quite rare, but it is commonly found in thin sheets of gem material.
