The stone is formed from molten lava and discharged by volcano to the surface. The lava is then weathered away and fine crystals are formed. The stone has a hardness of 6.5-7.2 on Mohs scale with a density of 2.62-2.65. The stone is found at many places namely India, Canada, USA, Russia, Madagascar, Norway and Finland. The stone is another type of feldspar. The opalescent golden yellow and orange makes it looks beautiful. There is also a common kind of softer orange with red and golden sheen.
