Peridot is the yellowish green gem variety of Olivine. It is increasingly becoming a very popular stone. There is a large variety of different qualities. Larger specimens usually incur inclusions of some variety.

Peridot is often mistaken for Emerald. Emerald has a distinct different shade of darker green.
