What is Goldstone

Goldstone is a synthetic stone. Extremely small copper pieces are set in a glass casing and usually set as a cabochon. These copper shavings in such a large quantity give the stone a “sparkle” effect, Goldstone is primarily used for jewellery and despite being a man-made manufactured stone, is extremely popular. The colour can vary from brown, red, green, purple and blue.

Interesting Facts: The first creation of Goldstone is still debated. It is often believed it was accidently made by Northern Italian Monks. Goldstone is also known as Aventurine Glass.
