What is Dentritic Opal

Dentritic Opal is a form of Chalcedony with dentritic inclusions through the stone. The name comes the “tree like” patterns that somewhat resemble dentrites. The Chalcedony stone is usually grey to white in colour. The Manganate Dentrites vary in colour from brown, grey and black.

It is also know as Merlinite.
