What is ChalcedonyChalcedony is a cryptocrystalline variety of Quartz that usually contains Moganite as well. As it can have trace elements or microscopic inclusions of other minerals, it can come in a variety of colours (see below). When in drusy form, the crystals of the stone give a "sparkling" effect especially when under light.
